Move In Stillness

Ever wanted to stay in a stretch for a longer time? Practice restorative yoga with us in our Move In Stillness series this May!

Balance is not always the ability to remain steady on one leg. It can include the ability to remain calm in stressful moments. In this restorative yoga series, we will cultivate inner balance with the aid of props.

What you’ll do

Restorative Yoga
50 min | All Levels

What you’ll need

  • 2 Yoga blocks, firm cushions, or books

  • Yoga bolster, rolled up mat, or pillows

  • Yoga blanket, throw blanket, or towel

Benefits

Reduce Chronic Pain

Relaxation improves the mind and body relationship that contributes to chronic pain. It allows one to respond from present ease rather than past tension.

Less Is More

Unlike hatha or vinyasa, each pose in restorative yoga is held between five to ten minutes and the body is supported with props to facilitate deep stretching.

Promotes Internal Health

Restorative yoga activates the parasympathetic nervous system which regulates bodily functions including digestion, elimination, and more.
